Snapshot…
… an informal photograph taken quickly, typically with a small hand held camera … (Oxford Dictionary)
Why snapshot? Because over the fifty plus years that I have been taking pictures the ones I have enjoyed the most are those that I have taken with minimal consideration, generally whist on the move and with minimal equipment. Hence - snapshot.
I have taken thousands of pictures over the years, mainly without any artistic pretence, that were only ever intended as a ‘memory jogger’. The pictures on this site are only a small selection of personal favourites and like most ‘favourite’ pictures, they are selected for the memories they conjure; the sights, the sounds and the smells.
Although these pictures are personal favourites and were never intended for public viewing, I would like to thank my friends and family for their encouragement in setting up this site and persuading me that the public may enjoy seeing them. In particular I would like to thank ‘The Hunter Club’ in Bury St Edmunds for their support and providing a space to display my pictures.
Whilst I retain the copyright for all my images they are all available to buy, printed (10x8) on high quality archival material and framed with a metal lightweight frame (11x14). Please contact me using my contact form for further information.
